In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief (Leonardo DiCaprio) is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job to date, Inception. While Inception takes a lot of inspiration queues from films like The Matrix, Space Odyssey 2001, Existenz, inspiration is all it is.

I can confidently say that this movie is truly original, with concepts that you've never seen or head of in any other movie. It challenges you to wrap your head around very dense ideas, the rules that come with those ideas, and a complex narrative; all while expecting you to keep up with the on-screen action.

Perseus the half-god half-mortal son of Zeus embarks on a perilous journey to stop the underworld and its minions from spreading their evil to Earth as well as the heavens; a remake of the hokey 1981 film of the same name. Sam Worthington plays Perseus, Liam Neeson as Zeus, and Ralph Fiennes as Hades.

While I didn't find anything all that abhorrent about this film, I did find it rather mediocre...

A hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely owner of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed. With voice acting from Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Gerard Butler, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Craig Ferguson, and David Tennant.

From past viewing experience if I were to compare Pixar and Dreamworks animations I would almost always favour Pixar in every regard; their stories are better, the animation is superior and the characters more engrossing. How To Train Your Dragon breaks that mold; with a solid roster of characters, great animation and a simple but engaging plot.

19-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror.

If there's any confusion this isn't a remake of the original Disney animation Alice In Wonderland (1951). It's a sequel of sorts, although why there needed to be one and why it's shot in partial live action, is questionable...

Two pairs of lovers (Steve Zahn &  Milo Jovovich, Timothy Olyphant & Kiele Sanchez) on a Hawaiian vacation discover that psychopaths are stalking and murdering tourists on the islands.
